The Pentatonic Possibilities series is designed to help you get the most out of the minor pentatonic scale, one of the first scales most musicians learn, by starting it on notes other than the root of the chord you're playing over. Usually, if we see, for example, an A minor chord, we would automatically use the A minor pentatonic scale. In these lessons we will be looking at creating sophisticated tonal colours by using the same patterns and licks most if us already use, but superimposing them in ways we may not have considered before.
We'll be looking at ways of using these ideas in fills and basslines, as well as solo ideas and each lesson includes MP3s of the examples as well as backing tracks for you to experiment yourself.
